Lagoon Operation and Maintenance

This course is designed for veterans and new operators alike. Topics presented include proper free-board, upkeep of interior lining, bi-yearly turn over, odor control and sludge level measurement. Classroom materials consist of inspection checklists, reporting forms and presentations that will engage and educate all wastewater operators. Discussion of methods and techniques from experienced operators will help you develop a working lagoon O&M plan for your system. Not all time will be spent in the classroom! MAP trainers will arrange for an on-site inspection of a local Lagoon operation to put attendees learning to use.
