Paul has over 35 years of management experience focused on organizational leadership, human resources, safety, and material management skills. Paul has a BS degree in Agricultural Mechanization from Iowa State University including courses in waste, water and soil management along with land surveying and topography. He has experience working with the USDA, EPA and APHIS in various degrees including regulatory procedures, guidelines, and permit application. In his current role, Paul’s primary duties are to work with and develop the capacity of communities that are in need of new or improved water and/or wastewater facilities.
While at MAP, Paul has developed specific knowledge of rate studies, income surveys, city ordinances, funding and other related topics that have helped communities correct and improve their current conditions. Over the past several years he has also developed a report with many County, State and Federal employees which enables him to have direct access to the people who can provide expert advice and direction for all community project types. Paul’s past experience brings a history of leadership, management, and personnel skills and are now combined with his present hands-on experience and training in the field of water and wastewater. This combination provides him with the knowledgeable and skills needed to be affective and proficient in his position as a Technical Assistance Provider with MAP.
