It may be time for a rate increase!
The water may be free, but pumping, treating, storing, distributing, operating and maintaining the system to keep it in compliance with state and federal regulations is not free. For the most part these costs for small systems continue to go up every year.
MAP staff can properly conduct a rate review to give your system a good idea how much income is needed to meet your short and long term expenses as well as give you a clear idea where your rates should be set to meet these expenses.
