Kelsen Young
Kelsen joined Midwest Assistance Program, Inc. as a Technical Assistance Provider in January, 2022. Kelsen’s background comes from South Dakota, where he worked for South Dakota Game Fish and Parks managing fisheries populations within the Black Hills of South Dakota. He then gained experience with water quality while working for the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality for the northwest region. He has learned to work in different environmental fields and has a passion for working with communities and serving the public. He has true interest in environmental science due to his passion for the outdoors and wildlife. He grew up in Sheridan Wyoming at the base of the Bighorn Mountains where he developed a passion for hunting, fishing and other outdoor hobbies. He loves his wife and their three-year-old daughter, who reside in the town of Sheridan with a community they love and admire. He is a people person that understands that developing connections is important in order to continue helping the state they care for so much.
Kelsen graduated from Black Hills State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Environmental Science. He then moved on working on a graduate project for South Dakota State University in fisheries. He is excited to continue working in water and wastewater to help improve the environment any way that he can. |
