Distribution System Basics

One of the largest investments in your community is currently buried under your streets. Understanding the needs of and how to maintain your water distribution system is a must for your community. This 5 hour workshop will instruct on proper repair/replacement techniques, review all aspects of distribution system operation, demonstrate real world maintenance, and show how to get the longest life out of your expensive investment. Areas of study will include meters, piping, valves and hydrants. Proper Installation of service lines, corporations and curb stops will be discussed. Safety and storage tank operation will also be reviewed at length.

It is a little known fact that almost all contamination in a water system happens in the distribution system. Let MAP teach you the operations that will instill confidence in your system and bolster your compliance record.
