PUBLIC POLICY
Midwest Assistance Program, Inc. (MAP), strives to help formulate and support policy and legislation at both the state and federal levels that have an impact on issues within MAP’s scope. This includes water, infrastructure, rural development and training.
Working independently and with the Rural Community Assistance Partnership (RCAP) network, MAP’s board, executive director, program director, and regional directors meet with legislators to provide information and real-world examples that promote the need for specific proposed legislation and policies. RCAP’s policy paper (pdf) provides insight and background on this critical issue.
