Jay Colson

Jay and his family currently reside in Osceola NE. He has a wife and 3 children: Taylor (wife), Reed (son), Quinn (daughter), and Jaylynn (daughter). Jay graduated from Stromsburg High and earned a welding tech degree from Central Community College in Columbus, NE. He started his career out working for the family business, Colson Masonry, until going to college. Upon college graduation, Colson working for Strobel manufacturing, building heavy farm equipment for four years, until accepting a job with the city of Osceola. While working for the city of Osceola, he obtained a class 4 water operator’s license and a class L lagoons license with the NDEE. After about 4 years with the city, he was promoted to utilities superintendent where he managed streets, wastewater, and water. Jay also has experience with daily operations, troubleshooting, and handling of emergencies in a water and wastewater system. He also has served on the Osceola Volunteer Fire Department since 2015.
