Shayna Kernen

Shayna Kernen joined Midwest Assistance Program in 2020 as a Program Assistant and became the External Programs Manager in September of 2021. Kernen has over 10 years of administrative and management experience and enjoys learning new things and taking on new challenges. Kernen oversees that the required reporting is completed for MAP’s Federal grants and contracts and is the ‘guru’ for MAP’s data collection system. Kernen also assists with proposals and staff training and tells the story of the impact of MAP’s work. Currently, she is enrolled in Iowa Western Community College to get a Business Administration degree and holds a certificate in Business Administration.
