Infrastructure Development

Assistance with utility upgrades, repairs, replacements, and new infrastructure projects. Services include priority setting, funding application support, engineering coordination, regulatory compliance, stakeholder/community communication, and development of operational manuals and budgets.

Source Water Protection

​Provide comprehensive assessments and protection plans, including mapping, delineation of affected area, contaminant inventory, identification, and mitigation of susceptibility.

Disaster/Emergency Management
​Provide direct assistance in completing vulnerability assessments and emergency response plans. Improve emergency response capabilities, reduce risk and mitigate vulnerabilities.
Management and Finance

Support for management and financial operations, including policy development, bookkeeping, budgeting, reporting, and asset management. Services also cover financial reporting tools, USDA RD loan reporting, legal meeting facilitation, ordinance development, energy audits, rate analysis, and oversight of compliance and environmental health requirements.

Training

MAP offers expert training programs designed to support the roles of board members, council members, city clerks, and operators. Training covers topics such as operator certification, board responsibilities, regulatory compliance (SDWA, NPDES, CWA), clerk duties, private well education, operations and maintenance, and one-on-one system-specific instruction.

MAP staff will conduct a personalized assessment of your private well.

Operations and Maintenance

Assistance with improving, establishing, and troubleshooting utility system operations and maintenance. Services include updating and creating operational manuals, system maps, asset management plans, sample site plans, emergency response plans, Consumer Confidence Reports, public notifications, and violation resolution. Operator training is also provided to support certification and ongoing compliance.

GIS

​GIS basic mapping, data collection and asset management, production of maps and GIS training of system staff. Additional on-going services may be fee for service.

Fee For Service

For entities that do not fall within the parameters of our grants & contracts, MAP will negotiate a task driven contract for an agreed upon fee. Examples include backflow, income surveys, and environmental reports.

Solid Waste
Services include improving solid waste operations, developing management plans, and supporting transfer station operations or closure, recycling programs, and proper waste disposal education. Assistance is also available with permitting, rate analysis, equipment and facility funding, and ordinances for recycling, composting, yard waste, hazardous waste, and medication disposal.
