Who We Are

About Us

MAP, Inc. Logo

Midwest Assistance Program, Inc. (MAP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping rural communities and tribal nations across Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, and South Dakota. As a proud member of the Rural Community Assistance Partnership (RCAP) network, we support communities, most with fewer than 3,300 residents, through hands-on technical assistance in water, wastewater, and solid waste systems.

Since 1979, MAP has worked side-by-side with local leaders to deliver practical, affordable solutions that improve quality of life and strengthen vital infrastructure. Our team lives and works in the communities we serve, bringing deep regional knowledge and a shared commitment to the strength, sustainability, and future of rural America.

Our Mission

Midwest Assistance Program, Inc., is dedicated to helping rural communities and tribal nations improve their environment, quality of life, and achieve self-sustainability, through training and technical assistance in all areas of management, finance and operations.

Our Vision

All rural areas in MAP's region managing their resources in such a way where they are providing a healthy and vibrant environment for community growth and longevity.
