Upcoming Trainings

Training is available at no cost to the attendee in multiple formats—including on-site, regional, and web-based sessions—to accommodate a wide range of participants such as utility operators, board members, clerks, and elected officials. Topics include water, wastewater, solid waste, and utility system management.

Our training offerings cover a wide range of topics including, Board and Council development, such as Becoming an Effective Board Member, Meeting Board Responsibilities, and Running Effective and Legal Meetings. We also offer technical sessions like Distribution System Basics, Introduction to Water Operations, Lagoon Operation and Maintenance, Water Treatment (Advanced Operator Training), and Wading into Wastewater. Specialized courses for non-operators, including Non-Operator Water System Training and Non-Operator Wastewater System Training, ensure everyone involved in utility management is equipped with essential knowledge. Additional offerings include Private Well Trainings, Smoke Testing, Setting Rates for a Sustainable Utility, Making Rate-Setting Policy Decisions, and USDA RD Borrowing.
